Tshepo is 24 years old and is the Reserve Manager of Bracken Nature Reserve in Brackenfell. She was born near Tzaneen in Limpopo Province and went to high school in Mamelodi, Gauteng. Tshepo loves outdoor activities, reading and learning about rare plants and animals. She decided to become a Nature Conservator and moved to Cape Town to study at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Being a Reserve Manager allows Tshepo to spend a lot of time outdoors and to take part in exciting activities like game capturing. She enjoys discovering new species in her nature reserve and protecting plants and animals so that they don’t become extinct. She also loves sharing the wonders of nature with people and helping them to appreciate every little piece of natural veld we have on our doorsteps in the City. This is an exciting job and Tshepo can’t see herself doing anything else! |
