Module 4: Urban Nature under Pressure

In just over 350 years, Cape Town’s natural environment has been radically transformed . In the process of developing the Mother City, ecosystems like dunes, wetlands, forests and shrub lands have made way for homes, farms, work places, roads and shops. As the city develops, it is easy to forget that the area is also home to many other living things, like the plants and animals that make up Cape Town’s world famous biodiversity .
